NAMI Portage/Wood Counties support groups for September 2010

Stevens Point
The NAMI support group for persons experiencing major anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or other mental illness meets the first and third Thursdays of the month.
This month's meetings will be September 2nd and 16th from 6:30-8 p.m. at ROCC Point, 2040 Jefferson St. Come join us in a safe environment to share concerns and to gain insights and hope. The NAMI support group for family members who have a loved one with mental illness normally meets the first Monday of each month. However, because of the Labor Day holiday, this month's meeting is the 2nd Monday, September 13th from 7-8:30 p.m. at ROCC Point, 2040 Jefferson St. Call Kathy Hartman for more information at 715-341-4483. Free and open to the public.

Marshfield
The NAMI support group in Marshfield for persons experiencing major anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or other mental illness meets on the second Thursday of the month.
This month's meeting is August 12th from 7-8 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 604 S. Chestnut St., 1 block west of S. Central and 6th St. (Business Hwy 13). Please contact Marlene Broeske, 715-384-6790 for more information. Free and open to the public.

The NAMI support group for family members who have a loved one with mental illness meets on the second Saturday of each month from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 604 S. Chestnut (behind City Hall Plaza). This month's meeting is August 14th. Please contact Phyllis Werner, 715-387-1016 for more information. Free and open to the public.

Wisconsin Rapids
The NAMI support group in Wisconsin Rapids for persons experiencing major anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or other mental illness meets 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month.
This month's meetings are September 7th and 21st from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 2011 10th St. S. For more information call Marvin Konopa, 715-423-1657. Free and open to the public.
